Select a product to estimate shipping.Will standard outlet screws interfere with the connector in shallow metal boxes?
In shallow metal boxes, clearance may be limited and standard outlet screws may contact the connector. Using shorter 6-32 screws or a deeper junction box ensures proper clearance. This is common with metal connectors and not a defect.
How do I remove these mc cable connectors if needed?
Use a flathead screwdriver or needle-nose pliers to gently press the metal locking tabs inward;
While holding the tabs, pull the connector straight out of the electrical box,
Then the cable can be disconnected from the connector.
Can these mc connectors be used with aluminum cables?
Yes. These snap-in MC cable connectors are compatible with both steel and aluminum MC/AC cables. They are designed to provide a secure, reliable connection for metal-clad aluminum and steel cables when installed in metal electrical boxes.
Are mc connectors easy to install?
Yes. These MC cable connectors are easy to install. Simply insert the cable into the connector and snap it into a knockout—no screws or special tools required.
Are there any installation tips I should know?
For best results, ensure the knockout opening is smooth and burr-free. Insert the connector straight into the 1/2" knockout until fully engaged. To preserve locking strength, avoid applying lateral force or rotational stress after installation.
