Frida Electric Nail Buffer, Safe Baby Nail File & Trimmer Kit, White

- FILES INSTEAD OF CUTTING: Baby nails are soft, thin and attached to a hand that will not hold still. The Electric Nail Buffer takes the nail down gradually rather than putting a blade near a fingertip you cannot fully see.
- PADS SORTED BY AGE: The buffer pads are color-coded by stage, orange for 0 to 3 months through blue for 12 months and up, so the grit matches how soft or hardened your child's nails currently are.
- THE RED FLASH IS A SAFETY CUTOFF: Press too hard and the buffer flashes red and stops turning instead of forcing the pad down. Lift it off, switch it off and on again, and it resets. Red means working, not broken.
- QUIET ENOUGH FOR A NAP: The buffer runs quietly, which makes a sleeping baby by far the easiest baby to file. Newborn nails are paper-thin, so use the finest pad and expect light repeated passes rather than pressure.
- PADS ARE MEANT TO BE REPLACED: Fridababy makes practical, parent-first solutions for the fiddly parts of a baby's day. Replacement pad packs are available, and swapping a worn pad is what restores the filing speed.

Why it flashes red: The buffer has an overload cutoff. Push down too hard and it flashes red and stops turning rather than forcing the pad against a fingertip. That is deliberate. Lift it away, power it off and back on, and it resets. Let the pad do the work and it will not trip.
Choosing a pad: The grits are color-coded by stage, running from orange at 0 to 3 months up to blue at 12 months and older. Newborn nails are the slow ones: very soft nails flex away from the pad instead of filing down, so use the finest grit and go with light repeated passes rather than pressing harder.
If it feels slower than it used to: The pads are consumables. A worn pad still spins but stops taking anything off, and that reads as a tired motor. Change the pad before you assume the device is failing. Replacement packs come as a range of grits, and they press on and pull off by hand.
Timing: It runs quietly, which is what makes a nap the easiest time to do this.
Care: Keep the unit dry and wipe it clean rather than rinsing it. Store it out of reach.
Check the pack for battery or charging details and the pads included with your unit.
