395nm: Unlocks additional fluorescence in fish and corals.
400-450nm: Rebalancing the cluster with more blue and deep blue increases fluorescence, color rendition, and provides a new level of tunability in the blue spectrum between crisp and actinic.
665nm: Appropriate use of long wavelength diodes provide light output useful for coral photosynthesis as well as visual color balancing.
How Much PAR Do I Need for Coral?
Soft Corals (zoanthids, palythoa, mushrooms and leathers): 50-150 PAR
LPS Corals: 50-150 PAR
Hard Corals (stony corals, small polyp stony): 200-500 PAR
Most corals can adapt to a wide range of different light levels when given proper time to acclimate. So we suggest you choose a light which can bring a suitable range for the special type of coral, then observe coral growth and adjust to the best spectrum.
Hassle-free to set an auto program for your lights with the controller. Different spectrums can be set at six time points to create a gradual lighting effect for a whole day.
NICREW HyperReef Light Controller (sold separately) can be compatible with HyperReef 50, HyperReef 100 and HyperReef 150. HyperReef 30 is not compatible, please use NICREW dual-channel timer for controlling.
