The puncturing unit, which depressurizes empty aerosol cans is made of low maintenance aircraft aluminum and threads into the 2" bung of a standard 55-gallon drum. All moving parts are 308 stainless steel. It accepts series 200, 300 and 6 oz. cans. No power source is needed. Simply insert inverted can, tighten sliding plate to engage, and press handle to pierce a smooth edged hole into the dome of the can. Carbide-tipped piercing pin withstands repeated use with no visible signs of wear after puncturing 10,000 aerosol cans. The combination coalescing/carbon filter threads into the .75" drum bung and is comprised of two parts. The lower coalescing portion removes airborne liquids while the replaceable, upper activated carbon portion adsorbs hydrocarbons and odor.

Simple Instructions
Insert aerosol can, NOZZLE END DOWN, into housing sleeve so that shoulder of can rests on gasket.
Lower sliding top plate over the bottom of the inverted can, press firmly & tighten the lock knob.
Push the handle down until completely depressed and HOLD it IN PLACE while it can release pressure.
Allow the contents of the can to drain into the collection drum (about 20 seconds).

Always operate outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
Wear safety goggles while operating.
OSHA requires that liquid storage vessels be grounded to prevent static.
Installation Tips
Thread the puncturing unit into the 2" drum bung, and rotate clockwise until the ground support plate is firm.
Thread the filter directly into the 3/4" drum bung.
Attach the ring terminal of the AntiStatic Wire to the Ground Support plate.
Attach the other end of the Anti-Static Wire to any nearby confirmed ground source, ex—metal pipe.
After using the Aerosolv can puncturing system, you end up with an empty steel can with a small, smooth-edged hole with contents drained so that it's ready for recycling with scrap steel.
