Prevent Your Post Inserts from Getting Lost
Post inserts often become lost when moving your storage rack or buying second-hand shelving. It is very frustrating to find out at the last minute that you need rack replacement parts. This can delay your project plans or move-in by another week.
Instructions
IMPORTANT: Always join the upper and lower halves of the rack using short and long beams. Post inserts are for alignment purposes only.
Tips: Have another person help balance the beams during assembly. Refer to the picture gallery for reference. Use a rubber mallet to avoid damaging your shelving.
The rack is built in two sections: the lower half and the upper half.
First, construct the lower portion of the rack using two short beams, two long beams, and four vertical slotted posts.
Insert four post inserts into the lower slotted posts.
Working on the right side, add two vertical slotted beams onto the post inserts. Have another person hold them steady for you.
Join the upper and lower portions of the rack using one short beam and two long beams.
Repeat the process for the left side using one short beam and the already established long beams.
You may now position the remaining shelves according to your needs.
