1,022°F (550°C) continuous, measured on the finished blanket. Built for MIG, TIG and stick welding, grinding and cutting. Not a close-range shield for plasma or oxy-fuel cutting.
Does this welding blanket shed fiberglass or make your hands itch?
No. The fiberglass is sealed in silicone on both sides, so fibers stay in the weave. Lay it out, fold it and store it without loose fiber on your hands, arms or shop floor.
Can I lay it over a floor, welding table or equipment I need to protect?
Yes. Floor, welding table, workbench, or draped over a vehicle. At 5.24 lb each it stays where you drop it. Heavy-duty silicone coating on both sides takes grinding sparks and spatter.
What are the grommets and stitching made of?
Reinforced metal grommets, ten per blanket, set in a hem stitched with Kevlar thread rather than standard yarn. They run the full perimeter, so you can hang it as a welding curtain.
Is this welding blanket easy to clean and store?
Wipe it down and check for embedded metal before folding. Silicone wipes clean, weld spatter or grill grease. Folds flat, stores compact, and goes back out job after job.
